A number of significant Memorandums of Understanding were exchanged between Maldives and India in various fields, expanding the cooperation between two countries at a ceremony held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid and the Minister of State for External Affairs of India, V. Muraleedharan.

The inauguration of Hithadhoo Tourism Zone – Falhoadhandifannu and Feydhoo Tourism Zone - Dhigihera developed under grant assistance from the Government of India was held today in Addu City. The Tourism Zones was jointly inaugurated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Kahleel, Minister of State for External Affairs of India, V. Muraleedharan and Mayor of Addu City, Ali Nizar.
