The newly appointed Ambassador of Guinea calls on Foreign Minister Dr. Khaleel

The newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to the Maldives, Conte Alassane, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdulla Khaleel today, following the presentation of his Letter of Credence to His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, at a ceremony held earlier this morning at the President’s Office. 

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Dr. Khaleel welcomed Ambassador Alassane and congratulated him on his appointment. Minister Khaleel expressed confidence that the Ambassador’s tenure would pave the way for stronger cooperation between the Maldives and Guinea.

The Minister and the Ambassador exchanged views on enhancing the Maldives–Guinea relations, particularly through their shared membership in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which continues to reinforce joint efforts to promote solidarity, sustainable development, and constructive multilateral engagement. 

The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepen cooperation and to work together at bilateral and multilateral levels.

Foreign Minister Dr. Khaleel was accompanied by Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, State Minister, Dr. Mariyam Zulfa, Joint Secretary Khadeeja Najeeha, Senior Under Secretary Fathimath Naeema, and Deputy Desk Officer Malsa Mohamed.
