The newly appointed Non-Resident High Commissioner Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Maldives to the Commonwealth of Australia, His Excellency Mohamed Luveiz, presented his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency the Honourable Samantha Joy Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, at a formal ceremony held this afternoon at Government House in Canberra.
During the ceremony, High Commissioner Luveiz conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to the Governor-General. He also reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening the longstanding and friendly relations between the Maldives and Australia throughout his tenure.
High Commissioner Luveiz was accompanied by Second Secretary at High Commission of Maldives in Singapore, Lamha Saleem.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu appointed Mohamed Luveiz as the Non-Resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Australia on 3 March 2025. High Commissioner Luveiz currently serves as the High Commissioner of Maldives to Singapore.
