The newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Maldives to the Republic of the Philippines, Her Excellency Dr. Mariyam Shabeena Ahmed, presented her Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of the Philippines, His Excellency Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., at a ceremony held at Malacañang Palace, Manila today.
During the audience with the President, Ambassador conveyed greetings and good wishes from the President of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and affirmed her commitment to further strengthen the close bilateral cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries. The President congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and assured her of the full support and cooperation of the Government of the Philippines in discharging her responsibilities.
The Ambassador was accompanied by Counsellor at the High Commission of Maldives in Malaysia, Mr. Hussain Jahhaz.
