The newly appointed Ambassador of Denmark to the Maldives, Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, today, following the presentation of his letter of credence to the President of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office.
During the meeting, Minister Dr. Khaleel congratulated Ambassador Kristensen on the presentation of his letter of credence to His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu today.
Ambassador Kristensen expressed his commitment to further strengthening the longstanding relations between the Maldives and Denmark during his tenure. Minister Dr. Khaleel and Ambassador Kristensen also discussed avenues for enhanced cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, climate resilience, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
Minister Dr. Khaleel was accompanied by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sheryna Abdul Samad, Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, Senior Under Secretary Hassan Hussain Shihaab, Senior Political Director Ahmed Haanee Naeem and Chief Desk Officer Aminath Shaistha Hamdan Zaki.
