Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, participated in the Ministerial Roundtable at the Doha Forum 2025, held in Doha, Qatar.

Speaking at the High Level Ministerial session “Upholding International Justice Systems and the Rule of Law,”  Minister Dr. Khaleel reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to principled diplomacy, the rule of law, and strengthening international justice systems. He highlighted the need to ensure that justice remains impartial, consistent, and free from selectivity, noting that these principles are essential to  maintaining trust and accountability at the multilateral level.

Minister Dr. Khaleel underlined that above all, justice must protect human dignity.  Minister Dr. Khaleel stressed that the plight of the Palestinian people remains a profound test of the international community’s commitment to justice. He reiterated the Maldives’ firm advocacy for accountability, the protection of civilians, and an end to the ongoing violence. He further stated that justice delayed in Palestine is justice denied, and that the credibility of the international system depends on its resolve to uphold these principles.

Minister Dr. Khaleel is accompanied by Additional Secretary  Khadeeja Najeeha, Charge d' Affaires at the Embassy of Maldives in Doha Mohamed Didi, Joint Secretary  Mariyam Midhfa Naeem and Second Secretary Mohamed Thahseen at the Embassy of Maldives In Doha.
