The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Khaleel attended the reception hosted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Her Excellency Miyon Lee, to mark the 58th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Maldives and the Republic of Korea.
As the Chief Guest of the Reception, Foreign Minister Dr. Khaleel delivered remarks reflecting on the close relationship between the two countries. In his remarks, Minister Dr. Khaleel reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening the close bilateral ties and partnership with the Republic of Korea, highlighting decades of collaboration that has expanded across many areas, from human resource development and governance to education, technology, and healthcare.
Foreign Minister Dr. Khaleel praised the enduring friendship between the Maldives and the Republic of Korea, guided by mutual respect, cooperation, and shared aspirations for peace and prosperity. The Reception was attended by Cabinet Ministers, senior government officials and members of the diplomatic community.
