Minister Shahid sends Australia Day greetings
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sends message of felicitations to Marise Payne, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Australia on the occasion of Australia Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government, the people of the Republic of Maldives and on my own behalf, I would like to extend warm greetings and sincere best wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of the Commonwealth of Australia, on the occasion of Australia Day.
Over the years, Australia has remained a close partner contributing immensely to the socio-economic advancement of the Maldives. The Maldives highly values its close relationship with Australia. The bond we share is grounded in mutual respect, sincerity, and trust. I firmly believe that the close cordial ties between our two countries will continue to prosper in the years to come.
