Chief Indian Hydrographer Calls on Foreign Minister

10 January 2010, Male; The Chief Hydrographer of the Government of India, Vice Admiral B R K Rao called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Dr Ahmed Shaheed today.

During the call held at the Ministry, discussions primarily focused on India's assistance towards the conduct of geological surveys of the Maldives. In his remarks Vice Admiral Rao assured the Government of India’s continued assistance to the Maldives, both in gathering geological data as well as human resource development.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, High Commissioner of India to the Maldives and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
